Beata Skudlarska, MD

Dr Skudlarska is the program director. She completed a 2 year Geriatric Fellowship at the University of Connecticut, Farmington and has worked in both private practice and academics. Currently she serves as Chief, Section of Geriatric Medicine at Bridgeport Hospital and has established a dynamic, geriatric subspecialty practice that is exceedingly unique. She is the medical director of Ludlowe Healthcare Center in Fairfield, CT. She is president of the CT Medical Directors Association, is on the House of Delegates for the American Medical Directors Association, and is a member of the clinical practice subcommittee of AGS.

 Vivian Argento, MD

Dr Argento is the Associate Program Director. She is a graduate of a 2 year Geriatric Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. She is medical director of Crosby Commons Assisted Living Facility in Shelton, CT, and secretary of the CT Medical Directors Association. Her interests are in medical education, medical direction, and dementia.

Marina Blagodatny, MD

Dr Blagodatny is a clinical instructor and preceptor. She completed a 1 year clinical Geriatric Fellowship at Bellevue Medical Center in NYC. She has served as a medical director of a nursing home in the past. Her expertise is in long term care and wound management. She is primarily responsible for teaching in the nursing facilities and teaching the management of wounds, including bedside debridement.

Soo-Young Kwon, MD

Dr Kwon is a clinical instructor and preceptor. She completed a one year fellowship at Montefiorre Medical Center. Her expertise is long term care, assisted living, and home visits. She also has special expertise in palliative care and is responsible for the palliative care experience and lectures. She is primarily responsible for teaching in the nursing facilities, home visits, assisted living, and hospital.

Asefeh Heiat-Azodi, MD, MPH

Dr Heiat is a clinical instructor and preceptor. She completed a fellowship in France in Geriatrics. She has an MPH and spent several years doing research before returning to private practice and most recently joining our group. Her expertise is in the field of screening and prevention. She has a combined board certification in Internal Medicine and Preventive Medicine.

Yaw Amoateng- Adjepong, MD, MPH, PhD

Dr Adjepong is the director of the research curriculum. He has a masters of public health and a PhD in epidemiology. He is responsible for teaching fellows the principles of research and epidemiology. He also serves as the primary preceptor for the outpatient geriatric continuity clinic.
